camp danceAll of us had a super camping experience last week! Soccer was even more fun as it rained! Remember the sliding across wet grass and a few muddy places too? The video paid tribute to the strong memories of Robin Williams and the dancing at the social made the night complete.

Did you make a new friend from your campus or another campus? Take time to say HI by commenting on this blog:)

Yesterday was a busy Monday morning as usual. Our morning was filled with anticipation though as we shared a Skype call with Mr. Evans, author of MVP. Mr. Evans was kind enough to arrive in his office at 7 a.m. to meet with us at 10 a.m. in our time zone! We have learned about time zones all around the globe by reading this novel so we were glad he was an earlier riser! Mr. Evans shared his inspiration for this novel and even the process he followed before it was actually published. What was your favorite part of our meeting with Mr. Evans yesterday? What did you learn?

We had a new experience yesterday! We shared our ideas about the novel, The One and Only Ivan, with a fourth grade class in Florida. They sent us some questions last week and then we just shared about other books we are reading.

What was your favorite part about Skyping with another class? What did you learn? What would you like to do next time we meet?
