Thank you Mrs. Paget for telling us all about your family history.I did not know that kids were allowed to help you with the business. I also did not know that the rides cost 1.50 – 2.50 to ride it. Thank you for having a Skype session with us.

Mrs. Paget, thank you for skyping with us. I really enjoyed learning about your family and your job. I had lots of fun when you talked to us. Thank you for telling us about the Swan Boats and what you do at the Boats. I was also surprised when you said the admission was 1 cent. Thank you for your time!

It was very interesting how Mrs. Paget’s great grandfather invented the swan boat. It was also very fascinating how her great grand mother Julia took over the business when her husband passed away even though not many girls owned a business. I loved the picture of Julia it was really nice. I was also very cool how the name swam boat came from the opera. It was a great opportunity to skype with Mrs. Paget.

My favorite part of Mrs. Pagent’s interview was learning about history. I think it was cool her family invented the Swan Boats in Boston, Massachusetts. I cannot believe she is the forth generation and her family has been working in the Swan Boats since they were invented! It is all so cool that they made an opera about the Swan Boats. The last thing that I liked is that it only cost 1 or 2 cents back then but now it costs $1.50 for kids now and $2.75 for adults! Thanks for skyping with us Mrs. Pagent.:)

Mrs.Pagent, the most interesting thing i learned from the skype with you is that back then to go on the Swan Boat it was 1 or 2 cents and now it cost about from 1 dollar 50 to 2 dollars 75. Another thing i learned was that the idea for the Swan Boats came from an opera. Also that Julia ran the business for the Swan Boats after her husband died, which was very unusual for women back then. The paddle boat always has to be by the Swan Boat because a lot of people lose things. Thank you for skyping with us!
